Update

I thought I would write a quick note about the things I've learned about pregnancy so far:
-Chocolate Shake is NOT good the second time around!
-If I have a question about my symptoms don't ask Mom or Sunny, apparently I'm very weird and I have weird symptoms. Thank goodness for pregnancy blogs that put my mind at ease!!
-As soon as you tell people you're pregnant, you get sick. (I was queasy before but during the last week I have felt yucky)
-When you go out (even just to Wal-mart) make sure you look good. A guy in line behind me said to me "No need to look so sad". Apparently I looked like crap.
-Stay away from Chinese food and scrambled eggs!!
-When taking your prenatal vitamins, make sure your stomach is Full, not just kinda full.

Nate and I are so thrilled that I am pregnant and I would gladly take these "joys" if it meant we could have a child. I really haven't been very sick at all, I was able to hide it from both families through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and a wedding. I was surprised we were able to keep it a secret at all. We did tell our parents, so I had a few people I could talk to about it, but I was kinda scared that my Dad would spill all the beans. Occasionally he would say things to me like "You're sick?, good stay that way" (my brother was standing right next to me) or during the holidays he would pay close attention to my eating habits. All in all I have felt great.

I've had a lot of people asking me questions about the pregnancy and I haven't had much time to reply so I'll try to answer all questions now. I'm not sure when my due date is yet. The doctor wanted to wait for the next ultrasound to give an exact date. When I went in for my appointment I thought I was 10 maybe 11 weeks, but the baby was measuring almost exactly at 12 weeks. So if we go off the size of the baby my due date would be July 31st. (Like the hottest day of the year, excellent!) We will know the sex of the baby sometime at the end of February. Nate wants a little girl, (actually he just wants a clone of our niece Kanela) and I want a boy but either way we will be soooooo happy. We have thought of some names but we will not be disclosing them until we know what we're having, we're secretive people I'm finding out. (I've mentioned some of the names before).

Nate is just as happy as can be. He's always trying to hear the heartbeat of the baby by pressing his ear to my tummy. He tells me "hold your breath, stop making noises with your stomach, your heartbeat is too loud" It's pretty funny. And I ask him every day "Do I look pregnant" still the answer is no, but if I'm not careful my gut can be decieving. One night he said to me "oh look you have a little belly", I responded "no, that's not where the baby is, I'm just bloated". He's a little more careful about that now. We are soo thrilled about bringing a child into the world, we've been wanting this for quite a while now, and we feel so blessed to be trusted with such a sacred responsibility. Thanks for all the congratulations and support from all the people we love!

Fun Weekend

Nate and I had the best weekend!!!! Our favorite people Curtis and Courtney drove all the way down from Salt Lake to spend the weekend with us. It was a last minute decision for them to come and we are so glad they did. We got some yummy in-n-out burger, went to the temple, went to the theatre (we saw Paul Blart, Mall Cop it was pretty funny) and just hung out! We made a Wal-mart trip and they bought a cactus to take home as a souvineer, and we took them to "The K" (Circle K) to get slurpies because they had never been in one before. One of our favorite things was going to the Diamondbacks Stadium. Curtis and Courtney are big sports fans and they love baseball so we went and ate lunch at the T.G.I. Friday's in the stadium.

Here are a couple funny pictures we took with some random statues.

Then late on Sunday night we were able to convince Nate to do the Haka for Curtis and Courtney who had never seen him do it before. We went to the park and Nate had his best performance yet. Be warned it's a side of Nate that only comes out during the Haka, he's kinda scary.

We had such a fun weekend. Thanks for the visit Cortis and Curtney!!!!

LOTS OF NEW POSTS!!!!

For those of you who care..... my computer has been down and we've hardly been home at all for the past couple of weeks. So I just added a ton of new posts. If you want to read them in order I would sugest starting at the end and working your way forward. It's kinda confusing but I wanted to keep things in order. The last post that I added was Chelsea's bridal shower. Enjoy!

Happy New Year

Nate had a 4 day weekend so since we are so crazy and love being in the car we decided to go back down to Tucson! Jamie and Jeremy came into town also so we got so spend some time with them. I didn't take many pictures but the whole weekend was so much fun. We of course had some Martinelli's at midnight, or actually it was like 10 min past midnight when we realized it was a new year. (We were very involved in a game of Tripoly). One day we had a picnic, and we also went to the zoo.

This is us with Natalie. She is such a cute baby! It's kind of an akward picture of me and Nate but Natalie looks good!
The Williams' got a new puppy! They don't have a name for the dog yet, but it's only like 7 weeks old. I'm not really a fan of dogs, but this puppy is cute. Kent is supposed to be making a C in his forehead for cute. The other day he said something like "that puppy is cute with a capital C". We all thought it was hillarious.
And to keep the record straight just because I think the puppy is cute doesn't mean I ever want one. (That's for Nate)

Snow Day

The monday after Chelsea's wedding (December 29th). A bunch of us went up to Mount Lemon to go sleding.

Here are a couple video's of Nate.

Will, Sandy and their kids
Sandy got a couple snowballs thrown at her.
Kanela the eskimo.
No one loves the snow more than Zackary, he was a trooper!
This was Gabi's first experience in the snow. Here's a video of her 2nd time down the mountain, the first wasn't so pretty. I'm having a hard time deciding if she is screaming for her life, or if she is enjoying herself. I'm leaning toward screaming for her life. ha ha. Good job Gabi!

Not everyone was happy by the time we left, but overall it was tons of fun. There are some other videos on Sandy's blog also.

Chelsea and Lamar

Chelsea and Lamar were sealed in the Mesa Temple on December 27, 2008. It was a beautiful day but it was freezing outside!!! I wore Nate's suit coat the whole day, except when we were taking pictures.
Zackary was cold, so he got in his sisters car seat. It's incredible that a 3 year old can fit in there!
Michael
Jacob, what a cutie!
Everyone was clapping for me when I came out of the temple.
The newlyweds. They make such a good looking couple!
The only person missing from this photo is Keree, Nolan's wife. We were all laughing at him cause he had to kneel down in front like a single guy. We also had my great uncle show up to the wedding we weren't expecting it. He was very photogenic. One of these days I'll learn how to stand up straight, I hate this picture of me, oh well!
The sisters. It kills me that all of our hair is the same color. I'm going to have to do something about that!

Afterwords we went to a luncheon. We got some cute pictures of Kanela Rose. The only reason she is happy in this picture is because, she was just fed and she didn't know that I was the person holding her! ha ha. She likes who she likes and I'm not her first pick.

She loves Nate on the other hand. She won't hesitate to go to him if I have her. He says he "conqured the beast" because he was able to put her to sleep a few times over the week. He loves that little girl!
The reception was the same night, so as soon as the luncheon was over we had to hurry to Tucson to set up for the reception. It was a fun party. There was lots of good food, dancing and partying.
I love how Chelsea has a huge knife in her hand as she's feeding Lamar. I'm just glad he was nice, the outcome could have been pretty gruesome. ha ha!
Their first dance.
Lamar's brother Ryan wrote a song for the newlyweds. It was really good too. Lamar comes from a very talented family. They all sing.
Chelsea and Dad
Karli and Zackary, how cute is that!
Karli has started a tradition with Bryan's wedding. She has become good buddies with the DJ, and he gives her the mic whenever she asks for it. She sang a song for Chelsea and Lamar that she made up on the spot. It was random, but hillarious. We love that girl, she keeps us laughing!
Nate was in charge of decorating the car, so I didn't see him too much that night, and we didn't get too many pictures cause he had the camera. Oh well, the next weekend we went to their open house in Thatcher. Here are some pictures from that.

Sandy and Will
Daniel and his best friend Seth
Bryan and Gabi
Karli loved to pose with Chelsea's veil on, she wore it almost the whole night.
They weren't so nice the 2nd time around.
Chelsea and Sam
Chelsea and Will

Chelsea and Seth
Time to party!

We're doing the YMCA
It was crazy but we had such a fun time with all the wedding stuff.

CHRISTMAS!!!!!

We spent Christmas in Tucson (of course). This year we spent it with the Andersons but we got to spend some time with the Williams family on Christmas Eve. We had a gingerbread house making contest. It was tons of fun, Nate and I atempted to make the "not so white" white house. It came complete with a hot tamale president and everything. Here's Nate eating our house.
Nate's parents made a TP I think they won the competition. Very creative.

And Carli and Kristin made a guitar. We were baffled the whole night thinking they were making a tissue box, but after they added the guitar strings it actually looked like a guitar. Good stuff.
And just to top off the night Nate challenged his mom to a leg wrestling match. They played about a dozen times and I think Nate won like 3 of those matches. I had some recoreded on my camera but some how they got deleted......hmm I wonder who did that?! The only video left from that night was the last match that Nate won. It was a pretty hillarious sight to see. Go Kelly, she kicked her 24 year old son's butt!!

Christmas morning was so exciting, almost everyone was there. The only people missing were Nolan and his wife, and Chelsea and Lamar. But Chelsea and Lamar showed up later that day. The best part of the whole thing was watching the neices and nephews open their presents. Nate spoiled me big time this year. I got way more than I was expecting. My husband is too good to me. Some pajama pants I got from Santa
Sunny and I made my mom a photo book of all her kids. We had a good time making it.
Daniel
Michael, all the boys got track suits from Santa.
And no Christmas would be complete unless Zackary got some sort of weapon.
I didn't get any pictures of Nate this year, he's the picture taker in our family. He had some sweet hair too! Dang.
