Thanksgiving

Well, this is really delayed but we had a great Thanksgiving this year. We spent the holiday in Flagstaff this year at Jamie's house. We had a ton of fun getting together with the Williams'. I actually did a little cooking this year, I was pretty proud of myself. I was incharge of the ham (it was precooked, but I did have to glaze it and put it in the crockpot). And I made an apple pie, and jello salad. All the food turned out great, and there were TONS of leftovers. We had Thanksgiving dinner the whole weekend. It was so good!!!

Nate got his game on. We played a lot of XBOX 360, and Wii. We don't have a game system so hopefully he played enough video games to last him a while!
On friday Jamie set up a time for us to go volunteer at the local food center. We served dinner to those who needed it. It was so much fun to do some service, it had been a long time since Nate and I got out and did something like that. It's such a great experience to be able to help such humble people. Everyone was very grateful.

Saturday we did some family canning. My mother-in-law brought the home canning machine, and tons and tons of food and cans. We canned rice, oats, wheat, apple slices, and fruit drink mix. We ended up coming home with more than 4 boxes of of canned food. It's a great start for our year supply, and we are so grateful to my in-laws for helping us out with that!

The whole weekend was so much fun. We loved playing with out neices and seeing the family. Carli wasn't able to come (she's in Hawaii, boo-hoo) but she'll be here for Christmas. Thank you for the great weekend Morriss family!!!

Pumpkin Carving!!!!!!

Last friday Nate and I hung out with Taylor and Kristin and did a little pumpkin carving. We had a lot of fun. I have to admit, pumpkin carving with my husband can get very frustrating...... It took like 2 hours for him to decide on what he wanted to carve. It came down to colonel Sanders from KFC, no thank you, and a gremlin. I chose the gremlin. The only problem was we didn't have an pattern to copy, so Nate freehanded the whole thing. I think it turned out pretty good.
Then Taylor busted out his power tools and we took everything to the next level. It wasn't as messy as we thought it would be so that was great, but I was in charge of making the gremlin look like one after the pumpkin had such harsh treatment. It was a tough job!

Kristin was in charge of carving their pumpkin. They started and finished theirs in half the time it took us, but that's because I'm married to Nate and he likes to take his time!

We were pretty proud of the final product. Too bad it looks horrible and deformed already!!! It only lasted a couple days... oh well, we had fun carving it!

TAG: 5th folder, 5th picture............

I had a hard time with this one. I proabably did every 5th you could possibly think of.... 5th from the front, 5th from the back etc etc.... But some I just couldn't put on my blog. (for example girls camp when I was like 13, no thanks).
Anyway, this is a picture of me and my good friend Tania. It was taken May of '03 outside wal-mart on my first date with Nate. We went to Wal-mart to buy some icecream and glow sticks (refer to earlier posts to understand the glow stick thing). Anyway, we were just being silly messing around with some clothes racks outside of wal-mart. I look like a baby in this picture! How's that for random??

Now I tag Kristin, Talia, Kelli and Celeste. HAVE FUN! (By the way sorry Kelli I know you tagged me for the quirks thing, but it was way too hard for me to think of anything :))

Forever Strong

Nate and I went and saw Forever Strong yesterday. It's a movie about the Highland high school rugby team. Highland is a school in Utah, that has won tons of national championships. There are a lot of bad reviews for this movie, but Nate and I loved it. It may be because Nate loves rugby and anything associated with it. It isn't playing in very many theatres but I highly reccomend it. I will admit some parts were a little corny, and it is definatly a sports movie, but the overall message of the movie is so good. I cried through just about the whole movie, but you know me, I cry in all movies. But we really did love it.

Bryan and Gabi's wedding

September 5th Bryan and Gabi tied the knot. For those of you who don't know Gabi is from Brazil. Bryan met her 5 or 6 years ago when he taught her family the gospel. Bryan finished up his mission, then Gabi served a mission, and here they are 5 years later being sealed in the Mesa temple. Gabi's parents came up with her for the wedding and everything. They are such nice people. Congratulations Bryan and Gabi, and the best of luck in your lives together! Gabi's parents and my parents with the bride and groom.
All 7 of my mom's kids. Back: Bryan, Will, Seth. Front: Nolan, me, Chelsea, and Sunny. We took some pretty funny pictures. We get pretty crazy at parties!

This is our serious picture. Ha!

Camping Trip

Last weekend we went on a camping trip with Nate's extended family. We had so much fun getting away from reality and relaxing a little bit. We played lots of games and had olympic tournaments and family skits. The Williams' family did a skit of "So You Think You Can Dance". http://www.myfamily.com/shares/?aid=FWJnRIsJ-BkHCnxN_tpLfw Somehow Nate and I won the competition, I don't know how but we'll take it! We just loved being surrounded by some of our favorite people for the whole weekend. I feel very blessed to be married into a family that has so much love for eachother. Thanks for the fun weekend everyone!

2 Years and going strong!

Time has flown by, but the last 2 years have been the best of my life! I couldn't have asked for a better husband. Nate does so much for me each and every day, and I am so blessed to know that he loves me too! We've had some rough patches but we always make it through. I'm so excited about our future together, I couldn't have asked for a better companion.

Curtis and Courtney

August 15th Nate and I had the awesome opportunity to see our best friends Curtis and Courtney sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. It was such an adventure! We left Mesa around 4:00 (after Nate got home from work) and got to Sandy Ut around 4:00 am. We were just about to their place when Nate realized that he forgot his white shirt. So... we went to the always handy Wal-Mart at 4 in the morning! It was the cheepest, most see-through shirt I've ever bought, but it served it's purpose! So we got to Curtis and Courtneys around 4:30 and the plan was for me to do her hair at 5 am. When we got there they were already awake so I got to work on Courtney's hair! (Which turned out really good, but I forgot to take pictures of it, so I'm gonna try to get some from her and post them.) Then we went to their endowment session and then the sealing. I have to admit I was really praying that we would be able to say awake durring the whole thing, but neither of us had any problem with sleep. The session was so good and their sealing was amazing! (They had some sweet connections and Richard G. Hinckley did their sealing) We have had the awesome experience of helping Curtis and Courtney with their temple prep classes so it ment alot for us to be able to see all of their progress. They have been such good friends to us while we were in Utah and we are so glad that we could be part of their temple experience. Congrats, and we love you guys!

My sister Chelsea came to stay with me last tuesday, she's staying with us till we move down to Phoenix. I'm planning on putting her to work. We have lots of packing and cleaning to do, and I'm glad to have the help!!! So far, we've just been having fun. We're putting off the working part! ha ha. Wow, nice face!
We had some CRAZY fun last weekend. We got together with our best friends Curtis and Courtney. We went to Target and got a glow in the dark football and some glow sticks. Curtis was charging the football. It only lasted for 20 min, so we had to keep charging it.
With the glow stick we made a hole in them (usually with a lighter). That's why Nate was playing with a lighter. Once you have a hole in the glow sticks we threw the glowing stuff all over the place. We went to a dark area with lots of trees and threw it all over them. It looked like tons of stars. Then it got a little out of hand and by the end of the night we were all covered in the glowsti ck juice. It was so much fun! I tried taking pictures of it but it didn't really work out. Here are my failed attempts.
This is supposed to be a picture of Nate, me, Courtney and Curtis. You can kind of see shapes but not really. It was so much fun though!!!

The Nelsons

Last weekend Nate and I got the awesome opportunity to watch the Nelson kids while their parents were out of town for a couple days. They are the coolest kids ever, but we had our hands full!! We went to the pool on Saturday, Nate took some of the kids to go see Space Chimps, we watched all 3 Spiderman movies, Nate and I played "You smell like........(fill in the blank)" with Hunter, I haven't laughed so hard the whole time we were there. We had so much fun the whole weekend, and without any major incident. I'm even more proud to say that our marriage survived the weekend (I did stress out once when a certain two year old got into the kitty litter). But we made it through. Candice asked us if we're ready to have 7 kids and I do have to say, if I had 7 kids like the Nelsons I would totally do it. They are the neatest kids and we are so sad to be moving away from them. The best part about it all was when Ryan and Candice got home and Lucee came to me over her mom. That totally made my day. I'm sure that was just a fluke thing but I loved it. This picture was taken just before we took off to the swimming pool. My favorite is the way Lucee is looking at Nate. It pretty much described their relationship for the first couple days. She warmed up to him by the time we left. We had so much fun and we just love the Nelsons!

We're Moving!!!!!!!

Well, Nate got a transfer for his job, and we are moving to Phoenix!!!!! He is most likely going to be working in the Glendale or Scottsdale area. And we are moving on the 2nd of August (with Nate's brother Taylor and Kristin). We are so excited to be so much closer to home and all the people we love. We still have so many details to work out like...... where to live......where Nate is going to school....... and where I'm going to work. It's a little stressful trying to figure it all out and in such a short amount of time, but I'm sure everything will work out. We have been praying for this for a long time and we are so happy to finally have an answer to our prayers. We are sad to leave our ward and all the friends we've made but it's worth it to get out of the nasty winters!!!!! Yea!! We are so excited and just can't wait to be back home!

Slip 'n Slide

Holy Cow I haven't done this for years. We went with a bunch of my siblings. The slip 'n slide was definetely made for kids 12 and under but we had way too much fun with it. We got some good pictures too. This is me almost running into the tree. Will

Baseball

We celebrated Jacobs 9th birthday on saturday. We had a good time eating cake and playing Wii. We got Jacob a baseball glove and a ball, so we decided to go play that night. It was so much fun and the best part of it all was the weather. A storm was rollin in. I love monsoon season in Tucson we got some good rain while we were there.

This is Nate's sister Carli. I had to give her a few pointers on how to swing the bat. Knees bent, elbows up, and most importantly booty out! It made all the difference.

Kanela Rose

We got to meet our new niece this last weekend. She was so much fun to hold. We love her so much. She was born on May 15, so she was about 6 weeks old. She had her blessing on Sunday and her dad did such a great job. She was born into such a loving family.

Nate was so good with her. To my surprise he is really good with newborns. He loves to hold them and he always puts them to sleep. I keep wondering why we don't have one of our own he would be an awesome father. Someday it will be our turn. :) This is my favorite picture. Just look at that face all scrunched up. Like I said Nate knew how to put her to sleep. We just have to work on the diaper thing, ha ha.

The proud parents Sandy and Will. Will put on his crazy face for this picture.

Random

These were just some random pictures I took last weekend. I found an old disposable camera that we bought on our honeymoon (almost 2 years ago) that we never used. So I had some fun with it. I did Kristin's hair that day and for payment we got some Ben & Jerry's. Kristin and I had Phish Food, Nate got Jamaican Me Crazy, and Taylor got Cherry Garcia. All of which I highly recomend. How can you go wrong with a pint of 4 dollar icecream!!!

This was a picture of an indoor Sonic. Crazy huh! I had never been in an indoor Sonic before so I had to take advantage of the perfect photo opportunity!!!!

This is Nate rigging our TV. It's quite a process just to get the regular news channels, it keeps it pretty exciting. Someday we will get a new one. I gave him permission to get a new one, but the TV he wants is like a 50" LCD. We might have to wait a bit for that one!

Nate and I went to Provo Canyon last weekend, with Taylor and Kristin. It was a lot of fun. The boys played catch and we had a barbeque. The only problem was the fact that it was FREEZING outside. It's June and it was like 50 degrees. We were planning on hanging out all day but ended up eating our food and leaving as soon as we ate. It was still lots of fun, but I'm ready for hot weather! No more of this 50 degree stuff!!!!!!!!!

So, my legs look really funky. So laugh all you want.

Our crazy week

My family came to see me. And they all stayed in my tiny apartment. We had Mom, Dad, Sunny, and her three boys Jacob, Michael, and Daniel and my brother Seth. They all stayed in my tiny apartment for 3 nights. One night my other brother Nolan, and his wife Keree were there too. I don't really know how we did it but with a couple airmatresses and sleeping bags we managed to survive. They came up for my cousin Clint's wedding. We had so much fun and I'm sad that they are gone but we enjoyed the time they were here.
This is Seth on the ottoman. I don't think he managed to stay there the whole night, I'm not sure where he ended up.

Here's the rest of the crowd. Nolan and Keree managed with both of them on the couch. Now, that's love.

Sunny and her boys, Daniel, Michael and Jacob. They were so much fun to play with. Handsome boys!

I got put on diaper duty. But I don't mind, I did anything I could to win Daniel's heart over. He's probably forgot who I am by now, but I tried.

My Dad and his mom and brothers. Scott, Craig, Grandma, Mark and Dad.
