Photos!!!

Tania has done it again! Here are just a few pictures from Abby's 1 year photo shoot! There are so many more I wanted to post... but it would take me forever to get them all uploaded.

Abby has this cute scrunchy face smile.... for the longest time we couldn't figure out where she got it from. Apparently that is how Nate and I smile!

This is a classic Abby face!

Tania, they turned out beautiful! Thank you so much... now the hard part is figuring out which one to hang on our wall!!!!

Birthday!

For Abby's birthday we went down to Tucson to share it with family. Here are some pictures of the day:
We started it off with a photo shoot at the crack of dawn to beat the heat! Surprisingly Abby was in good spirits about it. More pictures of that to come!
Waiting for her cake

It took her a minute to dig in, but once she did, she didn't hold back!

Nate helped her eat it.

She enjoyed feeding Daddy more than she liked to eat it herself.

She got pleanty spoiled!

It was a fun day, but by the end Abby was sooooo ready for bed!

1 year!!

What??!?!?! Really?!?!!? Already!?!??!? I am so not read for this milestone in Abby's life. It is very bittersweet. All I keep thinking about is what I was doing a year ago today. At 8:45 sitting in the hospital waiting for my sweet baby girl. At 3:08 I'm pretty sure I'll be crying! Abby has been the sweetest blessing in our life, I don't know how we were happy before she came along!
  • She is very sober. Smiles and laughs have to be worked for, Abby doesn't just hand them out, unless you are under 3 feet!! She loves kids, and I mean loves them! When Abby was 6 or 7 months we had only gotten her to laugh a handful of times, when she got around her cousin Daniel she laughed at every little move he made! There's a little 6 month old girl in our ward that Abby loves! One night she sat and hugged and kissed this baby for an hour (of course her kisses are more like an opened mouth slobber).
  • Abby never cries, unless she needed something. She was the best newborn, at the hospital the first time she cried was 30 min after she was born, when she was getting her bath. She doesn't cry when she falls or hits her head. She is tough! Except maybe when she gave herself a black eye, that was pretty bad! (She is starting to throw tantrums these days though, and she lets me know what she thinks!)
  • She's a mama's girl. Don't get me wrong, she loves when Nate comes home from work, and cries when he leaves. She loves her Daddy, but she's still a mama's girl!
  • She does things on her own terms. There is no getting her to preform! She can wave "bye", she says uh-oh, she claps, she can give kisses, she just started taking 4 steps at a time, but good luck seeing any of these things. She will not do them in front of a stranger (she just stares them down!), and she will not preform for the camera.
  • She is in big trouble! I just discovered that she erased a bunch of pictures off of my camera... she's lucky it's her birthday!! :)
Here are some of my favorite pictures that I had already saved to my computer

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ABBY!!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!

Haircut!!!

Abby had her first realy haircut today! I'm surprised I've lasted this long without touching it, but her hair really has come in beautifully! Here's a few pictures of the cutie!

IDAHO!!!!!

Not one of my favorite places, but some of my favorite people live there!!! Nolan and Keree were so nice to let us visit for a week. Abby and I went up with my parents and Seth. We got to meet Harmony Leila Anderson and be there for her blessing. She's such a sweet tiny little thing, it was so fun to snuggle her! I was a horrible photographer while we were there, and I keep kicking myself for it, but I did get a few pics.
Here's the new family of 4!!!
Perry, Nolan, Keree and Harmony

Mom and Dad and baby Not sure who put who to sleep but they both stayed asleep for a good couple of hours!

We had a good 4th of July up there. It was a little bit ridiculous becuase by the time the fireworks started (around 10:00) it was 5o-something degrees outside!!! I couldn't believe it, us whimpy Arizonans were freezing! Unfortunatly I packed for summer weather (it is july right??) Abby was nice and warm in a fleece blanket and I froze! But the fireworks were great, Abby was mezmorized by them.

Abby loves her cousin Perry (she's not quite sure about Harmony). And like I said I wish I got more pictures but they played and played and played.

We also spent a day in beautiful Logan with my aunt and uncle. Logan really is one of my favorite places. We had Aggie Icecream (so much in fact I felt like exploding!) but it was good. And we went and visited the house my mom grew up it. The house is for sale and we tried to get into it, but because of the holiday weekend it didnt work out. It didn't stop my mom and aunt Karine from peeking in all the windows and sharing their favorite memories. Here are the girls

Updates

I took Abby to the doctor for her 9 month check up yestereday. She's back on the charts. She is 18lbs 45%, and 29in long 90%. Tall and skinny as ever! She is pulling herself up on anything and everything. It wont be too long before she can stand on her own, which means we have to really baby proof our house now. She has just started to discover cabinents and drawers. Keeping a clean house gets harder and harder every day. She's also starting to get an attitude. If she doesn't get what she wants she throws herself back and screams, and she has quite a loud scream. I didn't expect that for a couple months at least, but maybe she is getting a head start on the terrible twos. I hope not! Besides that she is sweet as ever, and we love her to pieces!

Abby got her first official black eye a couple weeks ago! She was pulling herself up on an end table, and when she fell on her bottom she hit the edge of the table, it lasted for weeks, but she finally looks better!

First day

A few days later

We took Abby swiming for the first time in tucson. She's not the biggest fan of the water, but she does ok if the water is warm and she doesn't get splashed. Hopefully she's get a little more into it, by the end of the summer!

Here is a cute picture of Abby and Grandpa Anderson. She was helping him with his golfball collection.

And now for some bitter-sweet news. Nate finally got a new job!! He has been looking for something for years now and I think he is really going to love it! He is installing security alarms for APX Alarms. I'm so excited to be back in Queen Creek, in our house. But I miss Tucson already. We had the best time while we were there, and it was great for Abby to spend so much time with Grandparents and cousins. She really got to know everyone better, and now that we are home she is bored out of her mind! (that might have something to do with her tantrums!) I got so used to our lifestyle down there, it will be hard to get back into our routine. But Nate is so happy and so are we. The other reason Nate's new job is bitter-sweet is because he took this job from our best friends, because they are moving to Utah. We are all so sad to see the Johnsons go. They are such good people and we loved hanging out with them. Abby and Finley had such a love-hate relationship but I know Abby will be sad she is gone. We love you guys, good luck in Utah!!

Graduation

My baby brother Seth graduated from High School! I can't believe he is an adult and getting ready to go to college and serve a mission. Seth is one of a kind, he is more loved than I think anyone else in our family. His kind, considerate, fun, sweet, and he LOVES Abby, and Abby loves him. I'm so grateful that he is a part of our family, and I am sooo proud of the person he is. Love you Seth!

Mom, Dad and Seth

The girls and Seth

Abby and her favorite uncle (sorry no competition about that!)

To celebrate the next night all the adults (except Nolan and Keree who were about to have a baby) went to the Gaslight Theater. We loved the show, it was hillarious and it was so nice to have almost everyone together without the kids!

Nate, me, Gabi, Bryan, Seth, Dad, Mom, Lamar, Chelsea, Sam, Sunny Will and Sandy(Sorry Sandy, whoever took the picture cut you out!!!)

Jacob, my oldest nephew also promoted to middle school! Wow, it makes me feel so old when I can remember the day he was born. Good luck in middle school Jake, we love you!

(I had a picture of him but it was too dark to see!)
