The belly...
Nate took me out last week for my birthday. He got me some beautiful flowers (strategicley placed behind me in the pic.) And we went to Islands for dinner, it's a burger place, I would have choosen something more fancy for my birthday but that's what I was craving! I ate so much stinking food, it was sick! I had such a wonderful birthday, my husband is the best!
This baby is very active, she is constantly wiggling around, it's tons of fun! I'm 25 1/2 weeks (almost 6 months) pregnant, and I'm feeling great. Bending gets harder and harder every day, and I already HATE sleeping on my side, but that's ok I'd better get used to it. My memory and brains altogether are going. The other day I wasn't paying attention and burnt some of my bangs off with the blow-dryer, oops! (luckily that hasn't happened with any of my clients at work though!) Life is wonderful for Nate and I, he is the most anxious person I know, August just isn't coming soon enough!

Happy Easter!
I was cracking up when he brought these to me. I honestly thought "There's no way he can make an easter bunny out of pancake batter", I was so wrong! I guess this means Nate is going to be the best Dad ever!

It's a..............
And we are so EXCITED!!!!! But I was completely shocked! I was so sure we were having a boy, that we haven't even really thought of any girl names! Our ultrasound today was really cool. Our doctor sent us to a different place to do an in-depth ultrasound. We got to see our little girl in 3D, we got a TON of pictures on a CD, and a DVD!!! It was so cool to see her moving around, which she does a lot! I've been feeling her a lot in the last 2-3 weeks and it was confirmed today she is a squirmer!! The tech was getting a little frustrated because the baby was moving around so much. It took forever for to get a good measurement of her heart and spine, for the most part she kept herself curled up in a little ball. I had to walk around for a while to get the baby to move around so we could get a better shot. Over all we spent almost 2 hours watching our little baby. Here are a couple of my favorite pictures:
Everything looked great today, nothing to give the Dr. any concerns. Heart rate was great, everything was measuring wonderful. They said our little girl is in the 26th percentile, and looked perfect!! We are so grateful and blessed and can't wait to have our little girl in our arms!
Here's the belly. I won't be fitting in to most of my clothes pretty soon!

Update
Nate and I are so thrilled that I am pregnant and I would gladly take these "joys" if it meant we could have a child. I really haven't been very sick at all, I was able to hide it from both families through Thanksgiving, Christmas, and a wedding. I was surprised we were able to keep it a secret at all. We did tell our parents, so I had a few people I could talk to about it, but I was kinda scared that my Dad would spill all the beans. Occasionally he would say things to me like "You're sick?, good stay that way" (my brother was standing right next to me) or during the holidays he would pay close attention to my eating habits. All in all I have felt great.
I've had a lot of people asking me questions about the pregnancy and I haven't had much time to reply so I'll try to answer all questions now. I'm not sure when my due date is yet. The doctor wanted to wait for the next ultrasound to give an exact date. When I went in for my appointment I thought I was 10 maybe 11 weeks, but the baby was measuring almost exactly at 12 weeks. So if we go off the size of the baby my due date would be July 31st. (Like the hottest day of the year, excellent!) We will know the sex of the baby sometime at the end of February. Nate wants a little girl, (actually he just wants a clone of our niece Kanela) and I want a boy but either way we will be soooooo happy. We have thought of some names but we will not be disclosing them until we know what we're having, we're secretive people I'm finding out. (I've mentioned some of the names before).
Nate is just as happy as can be. He's always trying to hear the heartbeat of the baby by pressing his ear to my tummy. He tells me "hold your breath, stop making noises with your stomach, your heartbeat is too loud" It's pretty funny. And I ask him every day "Do I look pregnant" still the answer is no, but if I'm not careful my gut can be decieving. One night he said to me "oh look you have a little belly", I responded "no, that's not where the baby is, I'm just bloated". He's a little more careful about that now. We are soo thrilled about bringing a child into the world, we've been wanting this for quite a while now, and we feel so blessed to be trusted with such a sacred responsibility. Thanks for all the congratulations and support from all the people we love!
