Haircut!!!

Abby had her first realy haircut today! I'm surprised I've lasted this long without touching it, but her hair really has come in beautifully! Here's a few pictures of the cutie!

IDAHO!!!!!

Not one of my favorite places, but some of my favorite people live there!!! Nolan and Keree were so nice to let us visit for a week. Abby and I went up with my parents and Seth. We got to meet Harmony Leila Anderson and be there for her blessing. She's such a sweet tiny little thing, it was so fun to snuggle her! I was a horrible photographer while we were there, and I keep kicking myself for it, but I did get a few pics.
Here's the new family of 4!!!
Perry, Nolan, Keree and Harmony

Mom and Dad and baby Not sure who put who to sleep but they both stayed asleep for a good couple of hours!

We had a good 4th of July up there. It was a little bit ridiculous becuase by the time the fireworks started (around 10:00) it was 5o-something degrees outside!!! I couldn't believe it, us whimpy Arizonans were freezing! Unfortunatly I packed for summer weather (it is july right??) Abby was nice and warm in a fleece blanket and I froze! But the fireworks were great, Abby was mezmorized by them.

Abby loves her cousin Perry (she's not quite sure about Harmony). And like I said I wish I got more pictures but they played and played and played.

We also spent a day in beautiful Logan with my aunt and uncle. Logan really is one of my favorite places. We had Aggie Icecream (so much in fact I felt like exploding!) but it was good. And we went and visited the house my mom grew up it. The house is for sale and we tried to get into it, but because of the holiday weekend it didnt work out. It didn't stop my mom and aunt Karine from peeking in all the windows and sharing their favorite memories. Here are the girls

Updates

I took Abby to the doctor for her 9 month check up yestereday. She's back on the charts. She is 18lbs 45%, and 29in long 90%. Tall and skinny as ever! She is pulling herself up on anything and everything. It wont be too long before she can stand on her own, which means we have to really baby proof our house now. She has just started to discover cabinents and drawers. Keeping a clean house gets harder and harder every day. She's also starting to get an attitude. If she doesn't get what she wants she throws herself back and screams, and she has quite a loud scream. I didn't expect that for a couple months at least, but maybe she is getting a head start on the terrible twos. I hope not! Besides that she is sweet as ever, and we love her to pieces!

Abby got her first official black eye a couple weeks ago! She was pulling herself up on an end table, and when she fell on her bottom she hit the edge of the table, it lasted for weeks, but she finally looks better!

First day

A few days later

We took Abby swiming for the first time in tucson. She's not the biggest fan of the water, but she does ok if the water is warm and she doesn't get splashed. Hopefully she's get a little more into it, by the end of the summer!

Here is a cute picture of Abby and Grandpa Anderson. She was helping him with his golfball collection.

And now for some bitter-sweet news. Nate finally got a new job!! He has been looking for something for years now and I think he is really going to love it! He is installing security alarms for APX Alarms. I'm so excited to be back in Queen Creek, in our house. But I miss Tucson already. We had the best time while we were there, and it was great for Abby to spend so much time with Grandparents and cousins. She really got to know everyone better, and now that we are home she is bored out of her mind! (that might have something to do with her tantrums!) I got so used to our lifestyle down there, it will be hard to get back into our routine. But Nate is so happy and so are we. The other reason Nate's new job is bitter-sweet is because he took this job from our best friends, because they are moving to Utah. We are all so sad to see the Johnsons go. They are such good people and we loved hanging out with them. Abby and Finley had such a love-hate relationship but I know Abby will be sad she is gone. We love you guys, good luck in Utah!!

Graduation

My baby brother Seth graduated from High School! I can't believe he is an adult and getting ready to go to college and serve a mission. Seth is one of a kind, he is more loved than I think anyone else in our family. His kind, considerate, fun, sweet, and he LOVES Abby, and Abby loves him. I'm so grateful that he is a part of our family, and I am sooo proud of the person he is. Love you Seth!

Mom, Dad and Seth

The girls and Seth

Abby and her favorite uncle (sorry no competition about that!)

To celebrate the next night all the adults (except Nolan and Keree who were about to have a baby) went to the Gaslight Theater. We loved the show, it was hillarious and it was so nice to have almost everyone together without the kids!

Nate, me, Gabi, Bryan, Seth, Dad, Mom, Lamar, Chelsea, Sam, Sunny Will and Sandy(Sorry Sandy, whoever took the picture cut you out!!!)

Jacob, my oldest nephew also promoted to middle school! Wow, it makes me feel so old when I can remember the day he was born. Good luck in middle school Jake, we love you!

(I had a picture of him but it was too dark to see!)

Memorial Day!

On memorial day Chelsea and Lamar were styaing with us and we spent the day with our friends Ryan, Lacey and Finley. We had so much fun bbq-ing and playing in the pool. Abby and Finley enjoyed eating rocks together. But the greatest accomplishment of the day was the boys passing the football to eachother 6 times. See video: They did this at least 20 or 30 times. And all three of them were sore and beat up from it!

I love to see the temple!

This post is long overdue! Nate had the special blessing to help with the construction of the Gila Valley Temple. He worked on the lights outside the temple and some of the fixtures inside as well. It made it that much more special to walk through and to go to the dedication.
It was such a neat feeling to be in the celestial room with Abby. I'm so grateful that our family can be together forever, I love the temple!

I also celebrated my 24th birthday last month. It was very low-key, just the way I like it. My parents made a delicious dinner for me, and my favorite spumoni cake!

I'm back!

Wow, I have been so bad at blogging reciently.... but I do have an excuse. Nate is working down in Tucson now, so monday thru thursday we are living at my parents house down there. It's been a little crazy traveling so much but we are so grateful for our families, and the fact that we can still be together during the week! We're trying to find a new job for Nate in town, but like I said at least I can go with him and I get to spend quality time with family!

During conference weekend we took Abby on her first long roadtrip. We went up to Utah to visit our friends and so she could meet her great grandparents for the first time. She did so good in the car. We drove through the night on the way up and she slept the whole time! We had such a good time visiting with our buddies Curtis and Courtney, and it was a much needed break from work! We did crafts and ate lots of yummy food, and cursed Utah for having such nasty weather, but it was still fun! I'm still kicking myslef because we took zero pictures, except on the way home we had to get a shot of Abby going over the Hoover Dam for the first (actually 2nd) time. We woke the poor girl up for the picture and she has a binki ring on her mouth, but it was worth the picture!
We've been very busy with our house. Nate installed some can lights in our kitchen (finally better lighting!), and even more exiting, we installed new carpet! It's the best feeling in the world to lay down on some nice new carpet (not to mention our house smells so new and clean!) But it was a nesecity for us because Abby started crawling!!! She crawled for the first time on Mar. 29th, and has been exploring ever since! She has even started pulling herself up on furniture.
Here's a few cute pictures of Abby, and a video of her crawling.
This is what happens when Nate feeds Abby.... I must say, he's pretty talented to be able to manage getting it all in her hair, and even her ear. I think he needs a little more practice!
Sleepy girl!

It makes me so sad that this precious little girl is growing so fast. She's 8 months old now, and I know I say this in every post, but my baby is changing so much, and learning so fast! Her baby smell is slowly leaving as she explores new things and makes messes. She's going through a very clingly stage, and I know I complain so much about not being able to get anything done, but secretly I love that all she wants is to be held or that she just wants me to watch her play. She fits into 12month size clothes, and she's just as tall as ever. She is such an observer, she loves to watch people. It's hard to get her to laugh most of the time (although she does laugh for little kids!) But she is still a happy, content little baby. She has 4 teeth (2 on top and 2 on bottom) and is exploring them. Nate and I have both been bitten a few times (not while nursing though, she knows better than that!). And she is finally starting to sleep and nap better (most of that is my fault, we drag that poor girl around so much as soon as she gets used to something, we go on a road trip, or live in 2 different places!) She has also learned how to say no, thanks to her cousins who tell her "no, no baby". Abby says "na na na na", and shakes her head no. It's the cutest thing, I just wish she would learn "yes" instead. She also knows how to wave, I need to take more videos of these things! I am seriously loving being her mom. I don't know what I would do without my Abby, I am so grateful for her sweet little spirit, and although I don't want her to grow up, I'm excited that I get to watch her grow and learn new things!
