What just happened.....

Holy smokes the last month just flew by! We have been busy busy busy. My baby turned 5 months old yesterday. I didn't even realize it till 8:00 last night so I took a picture of her in her pj's. And today I discovered her first tooth starting to come through. It hasn't broken the skin yet, but it's getting close! She's growing way too fast!

She has started eating rice cereal. She made some awesome faces when we gave it to her the first time! But she's starting to get used to it, and I think she likes it.

We celebrated Abby's first Christmas with both families this year, it was so nice to see almost everyone. We missed a couple brothers.
Of course Abby's favorite part was the paper... but it's still so much fun to watch her get excited about it!

Nate's sister Carli got married on January 2nd to Roger. I wasn't thinking and forgot our camera, and when we did remember to bring our camera to the reception we didn't take very many pictures. It was so much fun anyway!

Us and our friends Justin and Makenzie.
(I yanked this picture from Makenzie thanks!)
Nate has been in and out all month long. He's been working on the temple in Safford so I spent one week in Tucson with my family, while we were there I got Abby's ears pierced! She did so good. She cried for a couple minutes mostly because she was scared and wanted the piercing lady out of her face! Here are a couple pics my friend Tania took for me.

Also while we were in Tucson Abby and her cousin Daniel became best friends!!! When we got there Daniel was sleeping and the second his eyes opened he said "Abby", and jumped off the couch to come see her (he was so sleepy he tripped on the way!) And anything he did was the most hillarious thing in the world to Abby. She has never laughed this hard in her life! Nate and I stand on our heads to try and make this girl laugh, and all Daniel had to do was look at her and she cracked up! They just love eachother so much!

Nate has been gone all this week as well, so I've been trying to keep busy and get some things done around here. Tania came and stayed with me one night and we made a mile long list of the projects I need to get done around here. My first priority is Abbys' room. As soon as we get that done I'll post pictures but until then I have some serious work to do!!!

We went to Safford last week where Nate was able to work on the Temple. While we were all there we stayed at the Marriot and here is a video of Abby laughing.

Time Flies!

I cannot believe how fast the last four months have gone by! Abby turned four months old yesterday, and I am not happy about it. She is growing way too fast!
Here are a few things about Abby:

  • She is such a good baby!
  • She loves to smile, especially when you smile at her
  • She can roll over (whether or not it's intentional is up for debate)
  • She's a drooler, and it usually shows up all over my shoulder.
  • She is very attentive, and she likes to watch tv or videos on my camera.
  • She loves to watch herself in the mirror.
  • She is stingy with her laughs, you should see the tricks Nate and I do to get one out of her!
  • She is the most beautiful baby (at least in my eyes)
  • She makes the cutest noises
  • She is spoiled rotten with hugs and kisses
  • She is shy, when she's in a new enviornment with lots of new faces she gets scared.
  • She LOVES her daddy
  • She loves attention
  • She's a good snuggler (at least when she's tired)
  • She is just a happy little girl
  • I love my Abby!
We went down to Tucson a few times in November. My family volunteers at the El Tour de Tucson bike race every year. This year Abby and I went (Nate was camping with the YM). It was lots of fun. Here she is with her shades... ha ha.

For Thanksgiving we went down to Tucson again, and Abby got to meet some of her great-grandparents. Here she is with Grandpa Jack.

November was a great month, but it went too fast.... Christmas here we come!

Happy Halloween!

Abby was a little piggie for Halloween. We went to our ward carnival/trunk or treat. It was lots of fun. We also got to see lots of family over the weekend, and even celebrated Makayla's 3rd birthday with her!
her little pig tail!Abby still has thrush (sores all over her mouth), and over the weekend she had something bugging her tummy. I was thrown up on at least a dozen times!! Her tummy is feeling better, but now I think she's getting a cold. Boo!!!

2 months!

Abby had her two month check up at the doctors yesterday. She is a big girl! She weighed 11lbs 13oz (75th percentile), and is 24 1/4in long (97th percentile)! I can't believe she's so big already! It makes me so sad that she is growing so fast! She had 5 shots yesterday, and we also found out she has thrush. Poor baby, has been so good, I feel like a jerk mom that I didn't even know she had thrush! It's so sad to see your baby in pain, but she sure is a good baby!

New House

Well, we moved out to Queen Creek last friday. It has been the most crazy stressful process anyone can imagine. Almost everything that could have gone wrong has. But we made it and things are starting to calm down around here. I am just so grateful that my parents were able to come up and help with everything, I probably would have lost my mind if they didn't! We had so much help moving, which also helped with my sanity! I already love the fact that I can change whatever I want about this house, but luckily it is in really good shape. All it needs is some fresh paint, and eventually new carpet. It was so nice to have a place we can actually fit people in because had lots of company over the weekend with Abby's blessing. I don't have any pictures at the moment, but I'll post some eventually.

Blessing

We blessed Abby last sunday, and she did great! Not a peep out of her during the whole thing (which Nate was very happy about!) When Nate brought her back to me she was all smiles! It was like she really knew what just happened. It was very emotional for Nate and I, Abby is such a blessing in our lives! After the blessing eveyone came back to our place for a little luncheon. It was so nice to have so many family members share this day with us!! My mom made Abby's dress (the top part of it was the same material we used for my wedding dress), and I made a cute little headband for her. Here are some pictures from the day sleepy girl
