New House

Well, we moved out to Queen Creek last friday. It has been the most crazy stressful process anyone can imagine. Almost everything that could have gone wrong has. But we made it and things are starting to calm down around here. I am just so grateful that my parents were able to come up and help with everything, I probably would have lost my mind if they didn't! We had so much help moving, which also helped with my sanity! I already love the fact that I can change whatever I want about this house, but luckily it is in really good shape. All it needs is some fresh paint, and eventually new carpet. It was so nice to have a place we can actually fit people in because had lots of company over the weekend with Abby's blessing. I don't have any pictures at the moment, but I'll post some eventually.

Blessing

We blessed Abby last sunday, and she did great! Not a peep out of her during the whole thing (which Nate was very happy about!) When Nate brought her back to me she was all smiles! It was like she really knew what just happened. It was very emotional for Nate and I, Abby is such a blessing in our lives! After the blessing eveyone came back to our place for a little luncheon. It was so nice to have so many family members share this day with us!! My mom made Abby's dress (the top part of it was the same material we used for my wedding dress), and I made a cute little headband for her. Here are some pictures from the day sleepy girl

Abby's new trick

This is how I put her to sleep..... And this is what I found when I woke up.....
I knew as soon as I could feel her inside of me that she was a squirmer. The best part about it all is that her head stays in the same place, she just wiggles her body around in a circle. I have also found her foot sticking out of the crib, and her legs verticle against the crib. She's almost done a 360, I guess she needs to sleep longer to be able to do that. Nate escecially loves to see what she has done throughout the night, I usually wake up to him laughing and taking pictures. We just have too much fun with our little girl!

The past month...

It's been a month since we had Abby. The time just flew by, but I have loved every minute of being a mom... yes, even when I wake up in the middle of the night to feed her. Anyway, here are some pictures of what we've been up to for the past month....
One of her first baths after her umbilical cord fell outThis was after a long day, I actually fell asleep like this... Nate loved it.
Abby met lots of her family, here is a picture of all the Anderson grandkids (this is the best one I could get, Abby was asleep during the whole thing and the rest were not really up for the pictures). Top: Michael, Jacob, Karli, Middle: Perry, Abby, and Bottom: Daniel, Kanela, and Zackary.
Abby did a lot of sleeping, and these are some of my favorite pictures of her
Like father like Daughter
Love the smashed face
Movie night
We've gotten a few smiles from her, but of course it's near impossible to actually get them on camera. Here's the best one we've gotten
All her weight is going to her chin.. ha ha!
My 2 loves

Here's a funny video of Abby sleeping.

Another photo shoot.....

Here are a couple pictures from a photo shoot we had for Abby. She was only 9 days old in these pictures, and she was such a good baby throughout the whole thing. Tania took these pictures for us. She is such a good photographer. Thanks Tania!
Abby started giving Nate a hickey in this picture, so cute.
Daddy's girl

She got the Schneider feet. Thanks Grandpa Jack!!!

Just chillin
Abby is 3 weeks today! She is an amazing baby. She has so many of her Daddy's features it's incredible. She has already grown 2 inches and gained 10oz (as of last week). She is super long, we're already convinced that she'll make a good volleyball or basketball player, and I'm sure she'll eventually be taller than me. She has lots of blonde hair, that I'm contantly brushing, I just hope she'll keep it. She only cries when she needs something. She sleeps and eats really good. We've had a couple days when she had a tummy ache, and she was a little fussy, but other than that she has been an angel!
Nate is in love! Everyday they take a nap together when Nate get's home from work. He is such a good Daddy, he loves to put her to sleep. We are just loving being parents, Abby bring so much love to our little family, and we are anxious to watch her learn and grow!

Abigail Lily

Our baby girl is here. She was born August 13th, 3:08pm. She weighed 7lbs 4oz, and is 20in long. She is perfect. Scroll down to read about the labor and delivery.
Wow, I'm a mess, remember I had no drugs.....

She has so much hair, we couldn't believe it!
Abby has her Daddy's feet. Notice his finger is the same length as her foot. Poor kid.

*The labor and delivery, read if you want*
I started having contractions wednesday night, but every time they started getting more painful they would stop. So I went to bed that night and slept for 2 hours and woke up with more contractions around 2am. But I still wasn't convinced I was really going into labor, so Nate woke up and got ready for work. He left for work and about 5 min before he got there I called him and had him turn around. We checked into the hospital around 5:45am and I was 4.5-5cm and 80%. Things progressed pretty slow until my doctor came and checked on me around 1 or 1:30. I was 6cm and 100%, her head was really low and I was in stage 2 labor, so the doc broke my water. (I had decided early on in this pregnancy that I really wanted to try to do everything as natural as possible, meaning no epidural. I never completely ruled it out, I just wanted to see how much I could handle. ) Things started to pick up pretty quick after that. The contractions were soooo painful, but sill bearable. Nate helped a lot by finding pressure points to counteract the pain ( I have bruises in various parts of my body from telling nate to push these pressure points harder, and I think his hands are finally functioning now :) ). As soon as I thought I was going to die from pain, I knew the option for the epidural was out, I went from a 6 to 10 in less than an hour and a half. That was most definatly the worst part of it all. The best news all day was when to doc finally told me to push. I pushed for about 30 min, and the doc gave me an episiotomy. As soon as she did that it took 2 pushes and her head was out. A couple more and she was out. It's incredible how quickly that pain leaves when the reason for it is laying in your arms. They immediatly put Abby in my arms and I held her for at least 30 min, before they had to take her away from me. The doctor and nurses were really impressed with how well I did. And they were shocked at how big Abby was. I still can't figure out how she actually fit inside of me. It was incredible watching Nate throughout the whole process. Most the time I had a towel over my face and I was concentrating on anything but the pain, but he had such a look of awe and wonder on his face. He got a little weepy when he saw his daughter for the first time, and has been in love with her since that moment. He changed about 4 diapers before I even touched one, he is so hands on and helps with everything he can. Abby is such a good baby! She has had no problem nursing (with the exception of falling asleep often). We are learning together, and I am jumpy and kinda over protective, but I'm sure we'll get the hang of things quick. I have to say that was the most incredible experience of my life. I have never been more proud of myself, not only for not having drugs, but to take part in bringing life into this world. Amazing!

Photo Shoot

Here are some pictures of a photo shoot Nate and I did. Our good friend Tania took them for us. We think they turned out good. Enjoy. (I'm 8 months pregnant in these.)

Wish this little girl would grace us with her presence.... she is totally content staying in me at the moment. I was hoping for this weekend, but I don't think that will happen! If she's not here by thursday my doctor wants to talk about inducement. Hopefully she'll come before then!
