Pumpkin Carving!!!!!!

Last friday Nate and I hung out with Taylor and Kristin and did a little pumpkin carving. We had a lot of fun. I have to admit, pumpkin carving with my husband can get very frustrating...... It took like 2 hours for him to decide on what he wanted to carve. It came down to colonel Sanders from KFC, no thank you, and a gremlin. I chose the gremlin. The only problem was we didn't have an pattern to copy, so Nate freehanded the whole thing. I think it turned out pretty good.
Then Taylor busted out his power tools and we took everything to the next level. It wasn't as messy as we thought it would be so that was great, but I was in charge of making the gremlin look like one after the pumpkin had such harsh treatment. It was a tough job!

Kristin was in charge of carving their pumpkin. They started and finished theirs in half the time it took us, but that's because I'm married to Nate and he likes to take his time!

We were pretty proud of the final product. Too bad it looks horrible and deformed already!!! It only lasted a couple days... oh well, we had fun carving it!

TAG: 5th folder, 5th picture............

I had a hard time with this one. I proabably did every 5th you could possibly think of.... 5th from the front, 5th from the back etc etc.... But some I just couldn't put on my blog. (for example girls camp when I was like 13, no thanks).
Anyway, this is a picture of me and my good friend Tania. It was taken May of '03 outside wal-mart on my first date with Nate. We went to Wal-mart to buy some icecream and glow sticks (refer to earlier posts to understand the glow stick thing). Anyway, we were just being silly messing around with some clothes racks outside of wal-mart. I look like a baby in this picture! How's that for random??

Now I tag Kristin, Talia, Kelli and Celeste. HAVE FUN! (By the way sorry Kelli I know you tagged me for the quirks thing, but it was way too hard for me to think of anything :))

Forever Strong

Nate and I went and saw Forever Strong yesterday. It's a movie about the Highland high school rugby team. Highland is a school in Utah, that has won tons of national championships. There are a lot of bad reviews for this movie, but Nate and I loved it. It may be because Nate loves rugby and anything associated with it. It isn't playing in very many theatres but I highly reccomend it. I will admit some parts were a little corny, and it is definatly a sports movie, but the overall message of the movie is so good. I cried through just about the whole movie, but you know me, I cry in all movies. But we really did love it.

Bryan and Gabi's wedding

September 5th Bryan and Gabi tied the knot. For those of you who don't know Gabi is from Brazil. Bryan met her 5 or 6 years ago when he taught her family the gospel. Bryan finished up his mission, then Gabi served a mission, and here they are 5 years later being sealed in the Mesa temple. Gabi's parents came up with her for the wedding and everything. They are such nice people. Congratulations Bryan and Gabi, and the best of luck in your lives together! Gabi's parents and my parents with the bride and groom.
All 7 of my mom's kids. Back: Bryan, Will, Seth. Front: Nolan, me, Chelsea, and Sunny. We took some pretty funny pictures. We get pretty crazy at parties!

This is our serious picture. Ha!

Camping Trip

Last weekend we went on a camping trip with Nate's extended family. We had so much fun getting away from reality and relaxing a little bit. We played lots of games and had olympic tournaments and family skits. The Williams' family did a skit of "So You Think You Can Dance". http://www.myfamily.com/shares/?aid=FWJnRIsJ-BkHCnxN_tpLfw Somehow Nate and I won the competition, I don't know how but we'll take it! We just loved being surrounded by some of our favorite people for the whole weekend. I feel very blessed to be married into a family that has so much love for eachother. Thanks for the fun weekend everyone!

2 Years and going strong!

Time has flown by, but the last 2 years have been the best of my life! I couldn't have asked for a better husband. Nate does so much for me each and every day, and I am so blessed to know that he loves me too! We've had some rough patches but we always make it through. I'm so excited about our future together, I couldn't have asked for a better companion.

Curtis and Courtney

August 15th Nate and I had the awesome opportunity to see our best friends Curtis and Courtney sealed in the Salt Lake Temple. It was such an adventure! We left Mesa around 4:00 (after Nate got home from work) and got to Sandy Ut around 4:00 am. We were just about to their place when Nate realized that he forgot his white shirt. So... we went to the always handy Wal-Mart at 4 in the morning! It was the cheepest, most see-through shirt I've ever bought, but it served it's purpose! So we got to Curtis and Courtneys around 4:30 and the plan was for me to do her hair at 5 am. When we got there they were already awake so I got to work on Courtney's hair! (Which turned out really good, but I forgot to take pictures of it, so I'm gonna try to get some from her and post them.) Then we went to their endowment session and then the sealing. I have to admit I was really praying that we would be able to say awake durring the whole thing, but neither of us had any problem with sleep. The session was so good and their sealing was amazing! (They had some sweet connections and Richard G. Hinckley did their sealing) We have had the awesome experience of helping Curtis and Courtney with their temple prep classes so it ment alot for us to be able to see all of their progress. They have been such good friends to us while we were in Utah and we are so glad that we could be part of their temple experience. Congrats, and we love you guys!
